Fun Fact

A thoroughbred named Lexington went blind and still became the most dominant sire in American history. Retired from racing in 1855 due to failing eyesight, he led the North American sire list 16 consecutive years. Bold Ruler — Secretariat's father — came closest to matching him, leading it eight times. Lexington's skeleton now lives at the International Museum of the Horse in the city that bears his name.
